As I'm sure most of you who talk to me already know, I was in the "Skills Nova Scotia Competition" participating in Prepared Speech. Me, being the type of person that I am, won my competition, receiving the gold medal, and getting in the local news paper. This surprised a lot of people who've known me for a while, because I'm pretty much the quiet girl in the back of the room who says nothing unless spoken to. Well, as I've told most people, I do have a really big mouth, I just need a place to use it :-) By winning the gold medal, I was off to Quebec on June 2nd for the nationals where I placed 5th. I don't know what you think, but 5th out of all Canada is a good enough title for me! :-)
